The Honorary Consulate of the Lebanese Republic in the Republic of Belarus was officially registered on January 20, 2006. On that day, the Honorary Consul of the Lebanese Republic, Jefara Ali Slim, began his duties. That same day, he met with the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Belarus, Viktor Gaisenok, during which Jefara Ali Slim presented his consular patent, confirming his authority to represent the interests of the Lebanese Republic in Belarus.
The Honorary Consul expressed his readiness to actively facilitate the implementation of agreements reached during the official visit of President Alexander Lukashenko to Lebanon in February 2005. This visit opened new opportunities for strengthening ties between the two countries.
Main Objectives of the Consulate
The Honorary Consulate of the Lebanese Republic in Belarus sets the following goals:
Protection of the rights and interests of Lebanese citizens in Belarus.
The Consulate provides comprehensive support to Lebanese citizens residing or temporarily staying in Belarus.
Promotion of foreign economic activity between Lebanon and Belarus.
The Consulate actively works on developing trade and economic relations between the two countries.
Development of international cooperation in various fields, including science, culture, and tourism.
The Consulate promotes the establishment of contacts and the implementation of joint projects of mutual interest.
Cultural and Economic Cooperation
Today, the Honorary Consulate of the Lebanese Republic plays a key role in strengthening cultural and economic ties between Lebanon and Belarus. The Consulate serves as a bridge, facilitating the exchange of experiences, knowledge, and cultural traditions, as well as fostering mutually beneficial economic cooperation.

The Honorary Consulate of the Lebanese Republic in the Republic of Belarus plays a key role in strengthening cultural and economic ties between Lebanon and Belarus. The Consulate acts as a bridge, promoting active collaboration between the two countries across various sectors.
In recent years, trade turnover between Lebanon and Belarus has significantly increased, reflecting the strong economic bonds between the two nations. The volume of direct Lebanese investments in the Belarusian economy has grown substantially, creating favorable conditions for the establishment of new businesses with full or partial Lebanese capital in Belarus. Currently, more than 98 enterprises with Lebanese capital are registered in Belarus.
Development of Transport and Economic Connectivity
A direct air connection between the capitals of the two countries, Minsk and Beirut, supports the growth of tourism and business relations. The agent of the Belarusian National Airline "Belavia" in Lebanon is "Moussa Group Co. S.A.R.L.," ensuring quality air travel and comfortable conditions for passengers.
Educational and Cultural Initiatives
The Honorary Consulate of the Lebanese Republic is actively involved in educational and cultural projects in Belarus. The Consulate collaborates with leading Belarusian universities, including MSLU and BSU, where students can intern and gain valuable diplomatic experience.
The Consulate also sponsors various exhibitions and fairs aimed at supporting and developing Belarusian youth, as well as enhancing cultural ties between Lebanon and Belarus.
Since 1967, over 5,000 Lebanese specialists with higher education have been trained in Belarusian universities. Currently, more than 1,000 Lebanese citizens are studying in Belarusian universities, primarily in medical fields, demonstrating the high level of trust in the Belarusian education system.
